With minimal light pollution, the night sky becomes part of the experience — present, unforced, and often unexpected. The land here doesn’t perform. It simply exists, and invites you to do the same.

Our Story

Aurora Cabins began with a single question: what would it feel like to stay somewhere that genuinely disappears into its surroundings? The answer didn't come quickly. It came through years of iteration — construction templates built and rebuilt until the structure was right. Earthquake-resistant. Climatically honest. Designed to hold a feature that most developers in Bali never attempt: a full-wall window that suspends you above the forest canopy, with nothing between you and the clouds below but glass. In a region where humidity and compromise usually go hand in hand, we chose differently. Nordic materials. Considered joinery. Quality that was never negotiated away.

Solitude and View

The cabins sit at elevation on the mountainside, tucked into lush highland forest above Tabanan. From here, the view opens across the valley toward Mount Batur — layered ridgelines, morning cloud, and a stillness that takes a day or two to properly settle into. The sunrise here is among the best in the region. So are the stars. Neither requires any effort on your part. Just being here is enough.

Every design decision at Aurora Cabins was made with one principle in mind: the forest should always feel closer than the walls. Open kitchen. Seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Materials chosen to age alongside the landscape rather than resist it. Natural timber, stone, and glass that invite the outside in at every hour of the day. What you find here is not nature as backdrop — it's nature as the architecture itself.

High enough to feel the world fall away. Remote enough to mean it.

Aurora Cabins runs on a small, dedicated team — most of whom are local to Tabanan and know this land better than anyone. They work quietly and without fuss, making sure everything is exactly as it should be before you arrive and long after you leave. You’ll meet some of them during your stay. Others you’ll never see, but you’ll feel the care they put in.
